The party’s founding members are those who had committed themselves to it before the launch of the initial crowdfundingexercise.
The principal founder is Malcolm Ramsay who began thinking about constitutional issues on the day of the 1982 general election. In the run-up to that ballot he had promised himself that he would vote but, when it came to it, he didn’t feel any of the candidates would come close to representing his views. Deciding that there was something fundamentally wrong with the existing system, he determined to work out a system that he could fully consent to.
